Sustainability | One Tree, 100 Years Together

The idea behind EnjuBoard is to nurture, use, and make the most of wood. We create in harmony with nature and take responsibility for ‘cutting, crafting, and sharing’. Learn more about our commitment to sustainability.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We believe it is our mission to pass on the rich blessings of nature to future generations.
EnjuBoard was born in a small workshop, but it is built on a simple yet profound philosophy: to grow, to use, and to honor wood in its entirety. Crafting products in harmony with nature is our guiding principle.

Our Materials

Our approach to sourcing timber is guided by a simple principle: we listen to the forest and take only what is needed.
We specialize in Enju wood, harvested locally in Japan under strict, sustainable forestry practices. We honor the life of every tree by using it completely; even the smallest offcuts are repurposed so that nothing goes to waste. All our timber is legally certified, ensuring responsible sourcing from forest to workshop.

Our Process & Quality

Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for the environment.

We minimize energy use by leveraging natural lighting and streamlined production. Our small-batch manufacturing avoids overproduction and ensures every board meets our highest standards.

Designed to Last

Not 'wood to be discarded', but 'wood to be inherited'.

With proper care, an EnjuBoard will maintain its unique beauty for decades to come. Our design philosophy stands in direct opposition to throwaway culture. By including care instructions and offering thoughtful gift wrapping, we encourage you to cherish your item and one day pass it on to the next generation.

Our Three Responsibilities

We take three responsibilities seriously:

Responsibility in Sourcing

We harvest selectively, ensuring we never take more than the forest can provide. We are committed to sustainable logging and using every part of the tree.

Responsibility in Crafting

We never compromise on quality. Each product is shaped by human hands, imbuing it with a soul and character that mass production cannot replicate.

Responsibility to You

We believe in sharing the story behind each product, inviting you to become part of this cycle of respect for nature and craftsmanship.
